Education Development Offices


the Education Development Offices were designed and supported in our schools and teaching hospitals, in an attempt to incorporate the faculty, and to fulfill the objectives of educational development in a range of different areas of pivotal activities of the Education Development Center including instructor training, curriculum planning, evaluation, continuing education, research in education, and the like. The main objectives of these offices are:


1.To reinforce inter-departmental interaction and connectedness (schools and teaching hospitals);

2. To develop and expand the pivotal activities of the Education Development Center;

3. To strengthen the scientific sharing of the faculty members interested in educational issues;

4.To equip the faculty members with the latest knowledge of medical education;

5.To provide optimized use of the existing educational facilities in all the educational centers;

6. To encourage faculty members to conduct research on education;

7.To improve the execution of educational evaluation, using the assistance of the Development Supervision Office;

8.To expand the educational courses for the faculty as per the needs of members at the respective center;


Headlines and activity outlines of the different offices of the Education Development Office are provided as follows:

The Committee of Research in Education:

1.To determine the research priorities in the respective educational areas;

2.To provide adequate facilities to access scientific papers;

3.To procure scientific paper archives and to report educational research;

4.To encourage faculty members in conducting educational research;

5.To schedule journal club programs on educational issues;

6.To introduce educational websites;

7.To maintain continuous relationship with the Education Development Center and propose educational initiatives for assessment and approval;

The Evaluation Committee

1.To Evaluate the academic progress of students;

2. To define appropriate evaluation indicators for abilities, performance, and skills;

3.To examine academic problems, academic setbacks, academic achievement, as well as to assess professors;

4.To create the database of educational, executive, and research information;

5.To evaluate the educational system;

6.To create the database of educational spaces, facilities, and equipment;

7.To define the educational and specific evaluation indices for schools, medical centers, and hospitals;

The Educational Planning Committee

1.To attract the support and follow up on the provision of lesson plans by the faculty members;

2.To attract the support of departments in developing of lesson plans;

3.To cooperate with the departments on the shortcomings of the existing educational programs;

4.To collaborate in the planning and establishment of the required facilities for research on and implementation of the latest educational methods;

5. To study and propose new programs and to review the existing ones;

6.To examine educational processes and provide suggestions for possible troubleshooting;

7.To maintain continuous relationship with the Education Development Center and attend the pertaining courses;

Faculty Members’ Education Committee

1.To conduct the educational need assessment of the faculty members;

2.To collaborate in designing and planning of training workshops;

3. To prepare and publish scientific materials on the process of teaching-learning;

4. To design and plan training workshops aimed at developing the process of education;

5.To develop the capabilities of the faculty members in educational technology;

6.To develop the capabilities of the faculty members in promoting optimized and modern educational methods;
